John Crawford - DHP, HPD, MAPHP, MHS, MNCP.

My own interest in creating positive change began nearly fifteen years ago. A brush with serious illness which was too close for comfort, left me in no doubt that there was a need for me to understand the process which had led me to that point, and what I would need to do differently in future. I explored many therapies and philosophies, got lost a lot, and eventually found my way to the really constructive useful stuff that brought about my own deep healing. This journey created a firm foundation of different perspectives and understanding which have proven invaluable to me as a therapist. As I began to understand the influences which shape our view of the world, and the effects those influences can have on our lives, I became deeply inspired. As the years of being a therapist have passed, this picture of cause and effect has become remarkably clear. It is my pleasure to hold a position where I can help others to experience their own healing and reconnect positively to life and their potential.

My work as a hypnotherapist is essentially clinical. I offer a practical, scientific, and grounded approach to positive change which is based on effective, time honoured methods, incorporated into a modern therapeutic solution focused framework. I pride myself on staying right up to date with the best of therapeutic research and draw from many different modalities to create an overall approach which is focused on "what works!" I am committed to continued professional and personal development. I regularly attend advanced training events to stay up to date with the latest developments and the best of current thinking, as demonstrated by research and experience; a process which continues indefinitely. I hold specialist certification as an "OCD & Anxiety Disorders Specialist", am formally trained in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I am a full-time experienced therapist.

I am very approachable and I bring to my work a sincere sense of humanity and compassion, an ingredient I consider vital to all healing. My consulting room is a judgment free zone. Your individuality and circumstances will be honoured.
